About Patsy's Pizzeria Flatiron
Established in 1933 by Pasquale Lancieri, Patsyβs Pizzeria is a legendary New York institution, famously frequented by Frank Sinatra and credited with having invented the original New York slice.
Now, the coal-oven pioneer brings its storied heritage to the Freehand New York hotel. The new downtown flagship of Patsyβs Pizzeria, helmed by Chef Pietro Aletto of Grand Street Pizza, balances century-old classics with artfully reimagined signatures.

In New York, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Love this place. Patsyβs Flatiron is a great local spot with an awesome vibe and a nice bar. The menu has a ton of variety beyond just excellent pizza. We tried the Caesar salad and the Margherita pizza, and both were incredible. Shoutout to our waiter, Kevin, for the exceptional service. Will totally be back - highly recommend checking them out!

Had a beautiful and delicious lunch here. The appetizers were so flavorful, we started with the Fritto Misto which came with a refreshing basil aioli and the patsys Caprese was sooo fresh. Perfect for the hot weather. The sandwiches are huge! Almost like a pizza folded over, reminded me of a calzone. So delish, we got the spicy pepperoni one. And then we got the Vodka Pizza which was incredible. The drinks were unique, be sure to try Patsys Martini (itβs a pepperoni martini) Not only was the food delicious, the staff were so kind and hospitable. Kevin and Sara were truly the best! They truly brought the whole experience together

I was SO thrilled to try this new Patsy's, truly the same essence but elevated. Where do I even start?! From the drinks, to the food, to the service & ambience - everything was top tier. If you don't want to read the entire detailed review below lol...just go. You won't regret it. Starters: Fritto Misto - very good Beef Meatballs - bigger than I expected and so good. Little Gem Caesar Salad - LOVED. Anchovies are perfect. Main: Candele Genovese Pasta - I am still thinking about this dish - the 8 hour cooked beef is sooo good, pasta cooked to al dente perfection. Whole Butterflied Branzino - to be fair Branzino is my go to at restaurants, but this one was excellent and unique due to it going in the pizza oven. Loved. Pizza was obviously wonderful. I mean...it's Patsy's. Dessert: I don't remember the almond dessert name but soooo good as was the cake. Also highly recommend the grappa cart - so fun (& strong:) Drinks: I had to try the Patsy's Martini for the plot - the vodka is pepperoni washed vodka. A very unique & savory drink. I continued with a spicy margarita and finished with an espresso martini (or 2). Really, really good and I am a harsh critic of espresso martinis.

So glad we decided to come here for dinner tonight! Everything we had was fantastic. Best chicken parm Iβve ever tasted, hand made tortellini was soooo good. Desserts were delicious. Cannot say enough good things. If we are ever in New York again - will definitely be visiting again. Shout out to our waiter, Kevin, for being wonderful!
